…and they’re fantastic! We’ve had great interest from the media, distributors and resellers that we’ve met at CES and are delighted to announce that we’re fully funded on Kicktarter

We have a production slot booked towards the end of February, just after Chinese New Year and it’s all systems go. We expect to provide links shortly to our initial retail partners as well as turn on our worldwide online store, but in the meantime, if you want to secure a unit quickly, your best bet is to pledge on our Kickstarter campaign and benefit from an early adopter discount.

We’ve just updated the website with new renderings for the final snappgrip controller and case designs. If you’ve been following us since launch on Kickstarter, you’ll have noticed some improvements since our first prototype:

The controller and case now feature a latching mechanism for really secure attachment
We’ve taken the decision to change the zoom ring to buttons which results in more positive interaction and less latency with the camera app
The mode wheel now features 8 settings (increased from the original 4). Details are on the product page.

You can now see images for iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 as well as a preview of the white version of the controller and corresponding case.

The prototypes for these designs are going to be in our hands around 6 January and notwithstanding CES craziness, we’ll be posting pictures and videos here and on our Kickstarter page. If you like what you see, we’d really appreciate your support via a Kickstarter pledge. It’s a great way to get early access to snappgrip at a discounted price!

We’re taking the first snappgrip prototypes to show the world’s consumer electronics press at CES2013. We’ll be at the Pepcom Digital Experience event at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, on Monday 7th January, 2013. We’re going to have our prototypes for Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 and a handful of media contacts will be able to take review units. We’re looking forward to the media reaction to our product and getting some really good coverage amongst all the announcements at CES to underpin our Kickstarter campaign.

We’ll be at CES from Monday 7th until Friday 11th January and if you’re a journalist, distributor or reseller interested to see snappgrip first-hand, please make contact and we’ll be delighted to meet up!

Well, we’ve done the deed and gone public with snappgrip via Kickstarter. Although December’s a challenging time to launch a new crowdfunding campaign given Christmas, New Year and CES, we’re hopeful that with some work to ensure exposure we’ll be successful in getting this project across the line.
